Enjoy – Day 13 – Move despite your circumstance

“Your body is not who you are. The mind and spirit transcend the body.”  – Christopher Reeve

Who better to make that statement than the original Superman who became paralyzed in a horse accident and lost control of his body from the neck down?

But even paralyzed he continued to exercise his body regularly!

“Reeve kept his body as physically strong as possible by using specialized exercise machines.  He believed that the nervous system could be regenerated through intense physical therapy, and he wanted his body to be strong enough to support itself if a cure was found.” – (Wikipedia.org, Christopher Reeve)

I believe he must have been benefited emotionally and physically from that exercise also.

He went on to live the rest of his life as an activist using his fame to do good despite his condition.

When you exercise that control over your body, you feel powerful and confident.

It truly doesn’t matter if you are 9 or 99 years old…you have the opportunity and ability to take positive action and MOVE in some way to improve your health and enjoyment of life today.

If you’re 100 or over, you get a hall pass!

(Just Kidding, you don’t…keep moving!)

As Tony points out, the way you FEEL is directly linked to your ability to ‘produce outstanding results’.

But more important than producing anything, the way you feel dictates your enjoyment of life.

“You can’t enjoy life if you’re not nourishing your body.”  – Tracey Gold

Why not??

Because if you’re not nourishing your body, you have no energy.

And feeling good, positive, happy emotions is very rare when you have no energy.

Nourishing your body is done through food, movement, and sleep.

All 3 are very important.

You can be eating healthy and exercising regularly, but if you’re not sleeping, you will eventually crash.

Or same with any other combination.

Food, Nutrition and sleep are all key factors to energy and enjoyment of life.

Take care of your body and you will notice your enjoyment of life go way up.

But as I said yesterday, if you struggle to care for your body, your root cause may well be a lack of LOVE.

So take one small action now!  Move your body to express love.

Then go to the root and get your forgiveness muscle working to unlock the door of the prison of self-hate.

So speak LOVE, acceptance and mercy to yourself.  SPEAK THE TRUTH, and speak it to yourself, into your eyes in the mirror.

You will be empowered by the truth of love, and that truth will set you free.

If you actively do something, it will stop making you feel like a victim and you’ll start feeling like part of the solution, which is just a huge benefit to your body and your psyche  – Ted Danson, Actor/Comedian

Again, another vastly important reason why to set your daily expectations small and just GET INTO ACTION.

Your body and mind are lifted by every small action…and super small, crystal clear expectation removes overwhelm and TRIGGERS ACTION.

And ACTION EMPOWERS you to own your day and your life.

Use small expectations to get yourself into action.

Have you felt that way?  I bet you have…it’s a liberating, joyful feeling he captured in that paragraph.

I have felt that hundreds of times, I feel it almost every single day!

And it’s not only when I run, and I don’t need to run 8 miles.

ANY vigorous movement, directing my body to move at the will of my spirit, brings this same feeling of empowerment and ownership over my day and my life.

Take the wheel of your life by first moving your body.

It will spill over into joy and confidence that positively affects every other part of your life.
