Why is the habit to ‘Affirm Your Truth’ so important?
According to Claude Bristol who wrote The Magic of Believing, a fantastic and timeless book, “It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.”
Affirmations lead to belief.
Belief is the root of faith.
Faith is power.
By repeating a thought consistently for 30 days it will become a deep conviction.
By repeating it verbally and evoking deep emotion around the thought, feeling really good as you think it…
…it becomes a much, much deeper conviction.
And the deeper the conviction, the more and faster great things start to happen.
For example, in our case, feeling amazingly stoked about life and thrilled out of your mind to be on this planet 🙂
David J. Schwartz in The Magic of Thinking Big, said:
“Belief releases creative powers.Belief triggers the power to DO.”
I fully agree.
Belief & faith are POWER.
Power is good!
You definitely want power.
Not power over others,…
Power in your self to create amazingness.
Belief triggers personal power within you.
You will only be capable of living a Truly Amazing Life in proportion to the power of the beliefs you hold which determine the thoughts you habitually think.
The challenge is, we are ALL hypnotized into thinking negatively.
And don’t think that you are somehow exempt.
We don’t even notice all the ways we are hypnotized.
Even though I do have a deep conviction that everything is conspiring for my benefit, I still have certain beliefs that I’m not even aware of that are limiting my power.
So I continue to do what I’m telling you to do. Every single day I spend time updating the programming of my mind.
In his amazing book Pyscho-cybernetics, Maxwell Maltz teaches that we are all hypnotized to some extent.
We get hypnotized by ideas we accept from others uncritically, or by ideas that we repeat to ourselves and convince ourselves are true.
And these negative ideas have the same effect on our actions as the ideas a professional hypnotist places in the mind of their subject.
I’m sure you’re aware that people will do all sorts of crazy, laughable things when they are hypnotized, that they wouldn’t dream of doing in a conscious state.
But the truth is we are all living our life to some degree hypnotized and controlled by beliefs that we probably don’t even know are controlling us!
But here’s the beautiful point that Maxwell Maltz emphasizes:
“Within you right now is the power to do things you never dreamed possible. This power becomes available to you just as soon as you can change your beliefs.”
“Just as quickly as you can de-hypnotize yourself from the ideas of ‘I can’t,’ ‘I’m not worthy,’ ‘I don’t deserve it,’ and other self-limiting ideas.”
We must de-hypnotize ourselves!
No one else will do it for us.
It’s so important to acknowledge the amazing power you have within you to change your course by changing your beliefs!
Do you see how negative thought habits could be holding you apart from the Truly Amazing Life you desire and deserve?
Do the small and simple thing and repeat your affirmations three times today!
That is how you de-hypnotize yourself.
Don’t worry about doing it perfectly.
JUST DO IT!
Keep up the diligence!
Write your affirmations with a pen at least twice daily.
Speak them into the mirror.
Feel them and visualize yourself living them!
