Why do you do the work you do?

TALB-0180

This is why I choose to do the work that I do each day.

Even though it’s hard.

Even though I have to face all sorts of fear and self-doubt right in the face, daily.

Even though there are so many easier ways to go about ‘making a living’.

The reality is if I didn’t do what I’m doing I would just be ‘making a dying’, not growing, stagnating, and withering away…fighting against what my heart constantly calls me to.

This is a beautiful unsolicited video with a tribute from an amazing woman Betty who I am honored to call my friend.

Thank you Betty, for reminding me what is most important, and why I do what I do.

I needed that today…I was feeling a bit burdened down.

This helped me release the burden and remember who I am.

So grateful to Betty for her beautiful example to us all, that it’s never too late to take back your life, to rise up and start living again in joy.

We are here for one purpose: Joy.

And as Betty so eloquently and correctly stated, Joy is found through Faith, Hope, and Love.

Why do I choose to do what I do?

Because there are people desperately seeking to live in joy and I can help. That’s it at the most basic level.

I’m grateful for that reminder today.

If you are doubting yourself, if you are struggling to love the work you do, take time to remember or figure out WHY you do what you do.

When you get to the parts of your WHY that deep down are rooted in pure LOVE, you will know the things that will bring you joy.

Then just stay true to that love.

It won’t always be easy, but that’s where life and joy are found.

Thank you again Betty, for reminding me of what it’s all about today.

Time to make today amazing.

-Aaron

P.S. – And by the way…you don’t have to up and change jobs immediately to start doing work you love immediately – I certainly didn’t. You can start side love projects and you can also choose new reasons why you are doing the job you are doing which can change everything.

Wow that was touching. We all have problems and sometimes they overwhelm us but then someone like Betty or yourself show us just how resilient the human spirit is and we rise again. Thank you for sharing this and for all you do.
