The 2 main ingredients for living a Truly Amazing Life

The other day I sent you this conversation going on with Christine in the TAL Family group.

Well, another great point was brought up in that same conversation that is worth discussing:

Amalia said:

“Same thing happened to me last night. I was feeling great but then I started thinking of all the things I do wrong.”

“What worked for me was first to say I am happy here and now, relax.”

“I love myself. I love myself. I love myself.”

I really believe negativity is a habit, at least for me, and old habits die hard. I will work hard to stay in the present and not feel guilty about it. I deserve to be happy. We all do.”

“We all deserve to be happy. Here and now. Lots of love!”

Christine replied:

“I’m in the same place as you. Unfortunately, negativity is a habit for me. I am trying very hard to conquer that bad habit.”

“I know I deserve to be happy. Just need to keep up the affirmations and replace the negativity habit with positivity! Also, need to remember true happiness comes from within and that I need to love myself.”

To which I replied:

“Negativity will always be there for all of us at every stage of our life. With every stage of personal growth we will experience new battles with negativity. It is a wonderful thing in fact…if we didn’t have the opposition we could not grow to new heights.”

“As I’m writing this, I’m realizing how wonderful the opposition is that I’m personally facing right now…so thank you for sharing so openly!”

“You’ve expressed what many of us may be afraid to express and that serves us all and allows us to see ourselves more clearly.”

“As we overcome obstacles we feel accomplished and we experience peace. But we’re on a never-ending journey ascending to great heights.”

“I picture life as one humongous mountain climb. We reach high points along the way with breathtaking views and amazing feelings, but we never reach the ultimate peak…there is always more growth and higher peaks to climb.”

“As we grow we confront new and different challenges that open the door to negativity and doubt within ourselves. In fact, when we experience doubt and negativity that’s a great sign that we are moving forward and facing an opportunity to grow.”

“But for me, knowing that negativity will never go away is what makes it so important to have a daily ritual to come back to that I know I can rely on to get me back to positivity and love.”

“And also…right now I’m grateful to have this TAL Family. Your sharing really helped me remember and re-connect to myself deeper this morning.”

Positive rituals and loving community.

At the simplest level, those are the two most fundamental ingredients to living a Truly Amazing Life.

How are your daily rituals? Are you allowing them to benefit your life each day?

Here’s the free download of the Truly Amazing Morning routine I rely on every day.

How about community? Do you have a safe, loving place to share with others and serve others selflessly?

Come join the free TAL Family community online.

And speaking of the daily rituals specifically, the practice of loving yourself that Christine and Amalia were talking about is item #4 on that daily morning routine list I just gave you the link to.

We cover that specific habit in depth in book #2 in of The 12 Secrets to a Truly Amazing Life series that was just released last month.

That book is designed to help you systematically create the habit to Remember Who You Are and love yourself each day.

When you do that it will dramatically improve your quality of life in pretty much every area. It’s astounding actually…you’ll see as soon as you give it a sincere effort.

I heard this perfect poem the other day that illustrates why it’s so valuable to establish the habit of looking in the mirror and reflecting love and forgiveness to yourself daily:

“You who seek God apart, apart

The thing you seek, thou art, thou art

If you want to see the beloved’s face

Polish the mirror, gaze into that space”

– Rumi
