Enjoy – Day 27 – Move to release instead of repress negativity.

Wow…time flies doesn’t it?!

Here we are at the end of one month of focus on the pillar of ENJOY.

Great job sticking with me!

Whether you already had the regular habit of daily movement, or whether you started with no habit of moving at all…

…I hope this month you’ve experienced an improvement!

Most of all I hope you have come away with a greater love for yourself and your body.

In love and respect is found the true enjoyment of life.

And also in that love is found true and lasting health.

More important than anything else I hope you have uncovered some amount of lingering hate for yourself, exposed it to the light, and are now more free to live in LOVE for yourself and life.

Throughout life as we peel back the onion layers of our beliefs and thoughts we discover subtle hate and lies, buried deep, sabotaging us.

Hopefully this month’s words and actions have released some of those for you…

I hope you are feeling more empowered and happier in moving your body.

And perhaps you have re-discovered your body, which may have been lost.

Perhaps you have rekindled that beautiful, loving relationship with your body, which may have been ignored and neglected.

“Few of us have lost our minds, but most of us have long ago lost our bodies.”  – Ken Wilbur

If you have been treating your body out of spite and neglect, the love was clearly lost.

But it can be found, and rekindled.

If you are just now starting to see the sparks of that relationship take life again, good!

Take care of those sparks, protect them, fan them into a flame that burns bright.

To do this?  Take the daily simple action of moving your body.

And do it out of love…expressing gratitude daily to your body and for your body.

“Keeping your body healthy is an expression of gratitude to the whole cosmos—the trees, the clouds, everything”  – Thích Nhất Hạnh

As you move your body daily, you are expressing gratitude through your action.

You are loving your body through your action, and this expresses gratitude to God, the universe, everything.

That’s one of the main reasons it feels so good to MOVE YOUR BODY.

And when it comes to health:

“The part can never be well unless the whole is well.”  – Plato

“Attention to the human body brings healing and regeneration. Through awareness of the body we remember who we really are.”  – Jack Kornfield

Your happiness and full enjoyment of life is greatly hindered without a healthy body.

Ask anyone who is suffering chronic pain and disease if you doubt this.

Yes, you can find joy even in pain.  But it is a daily challenge and a burden when your body is in chronic pain.

For many of us, that becomes our lot and it is certainly there for some good and purifying reason for us.

But living with pain is definitely not the goal!

Health is what we strive for…through love and gratitude.

Sometimes though, we find ourselves in some level of pain due to suppressed and repressed emotion.

There has been a LOT written on this subject, The Mind Body Prescription by John Sarno is one great piece, there are many more.

But succinctly stated:  “Emotion always has its roots in the unconscious and manifests itself in the body.”  – Irene Claremont de Castillejo

That is simple truth.

So I hope this month you have found yourself loving your body.

Being more aware of your body.

Being more aware in general.

Moving your body daily.

Using that time to release negative emotion as you open up the flow of energy through your movement and allow the mind to clear.

By releasing, rather than suppressing your emotion, you release yourself from pain.

Movement greatly facilitates this.

And we will end this month with the invitation to stay curious daily.

Keep moving your body, being aware of your body, listening to your body.

Movement is the fundamental need your body has.

As you do this, you will find your body and soul connecting, in gratitude and in love…

and this will connect you to the source of all intelligence in the universe which will fill you with knowledge and joy.
