Enjoy – Day 17 – What your thoughts and words are doing to your body
To begin today here’s a passage from James Allen titled ‘Renounce’.
“IF you are given to anger, worry, jealousy, greed, or any other inharmonious state of mind, and expect perfect physical health, you are expecting the impossible, for you are continually sowing the seeds of disease in your mind.”
“Such conditions of mind are carefully shunned by the wise man, for he knows them to be far more dangerous than a bad drain or an infected house.”
“If you would be free from all physical aches and pains, and would enjoy perfect physical harmony, then put your mind in order, and harmonize your thoughts.”
“Think joyful thoughts; think loving thoughts; let the elixir of goodwill course through your veins, and you will need no other medicine.”
“Put away your jealousies, your suspicions, your worries, your hatreds, your selfish indulgences, and you will put away your dyspepsia, your biliousness, your nervousness and aching joints.”
“If you would secure health, you must learn to work without friction.” – James Allen
As we’ve discussed earlier, love really is the answer to health and enjoyment of life.
I just like how James Allen goes into detail here on many of its other benefits…as well as the detriments of NOT living in love.
And today we’re going to discuss some studies that showed that loving thought and word literally heals and blesses the cells of your body….
…while thoughts in the vein of hate are damaging you.
So be kind.
But remember to take action. Moving your body helps you improve your thoughts.
“Everything you’ll ever need to know is within you; the secrets of the universe are imprinted on the cells of your body.” – Dan Millman, Author of ‘The Peaceful Warrior’
I’m intrigued by the idea of connecting to the body, talking to the body, loving the body, and learning from the body.
Are you grateful for your body?
Your body, mind, and spirit are connected to each other AND to the source of all life.
So why not say ‘thank you’ to your body?
Why not speak love to your body and your cells?
“If you talk to your body, it will listen.” – Bernie Siegel, Author of Love, Medicine & Miracles
A man named Masaru Emoto in Japan did extensive studies on water using meditation, music, words, and other influences which he exposed water to and then froze the water into ice crystals.
He made a compelling case that our thoughts and other external influences have a huge impact on water.
And of course we know that our bodies are made up primarily of water….here’s what he said:
“All the classical music that we exposed the water to resulted in well-formed crystals with distinct characteristics. In contrast, the water exposed to violent heavy-metal music resulted in fragmented and malformed crystals at best.”
“Water exposed to “Thank you” formed beautiful hexagonal crystals, but water exposed to the word “Fool” produced crystals similar to the water exposed to heavy-metal music, malformed and fragmented. “ – Masaru Emoto, The Hidden Messages in Water
So when he used positive, loving words toward water, beautiful crystals were formed.
Here are some examples:
What does this imply about how we can influence our own bodies by our own words and thoughts?
“Words are very likely to have an enormous impact on the water that composes as much as seventy percent of our body.”
“If you fill your heart with love and gratitude, you will find yourself surrounded by so much that you can love and feel grateful for; you can get closer to enjoying the life of health and happiness.”
“But what if you emit signals of hate, dissatisfaction, and sadness? Then you will probably find yourself in a situation that makes you hateful, dissatisfied, and sad.”
“The life you live and the world you live in are up to you.” – Masaru Emoto, The Hidden Messages in Water”
So what does this have to do with the habit of moving your body?
If you love your body, you will move your body, and you will feel good.
But more than that, expressing loving thoughts and words toward the cells of your body, empowers those cells to beauty and vibrance.
So I just want to make sure you aware of this work that shows how your thoughts and words and music affect the cells of your body.
When you treat yourself well, your entire body will function better.
It will be easier to get out the door.
It will be easier to move once you are out the door (or inside, or wherever you go!)
And love toward yourself followed by actually moving and getting blood flowing to your cells is a beautiful way to treat your amazing body and naturally makes your thoughts more loving.
A virtuous cycle.
All these things will bring you joy.
Keep it up! Move your body vigorously today! Love yourself.
Make Today Amazing.
