Enjoy – Day 15 – Enjoy the sacred place you live.

We’re starting week 2 on the pillar of ENJOY!

Are you enjoying yourself more each day?

Are you moving your body purposely and vigorously each day?

I truly hope so, this is so important to your happiness.

Why is moving your body so important to your JOY in life?

The body is often referred to as the temple of the spirit or the soul.

“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” – 1 Corinthians 3:16

Even famous football players say it! (for whatever that’s worth 😉

Though I don’t think you ‘have to’ treat your body like a temple.

Nobody is going to force you to do it.

But obviously what he meant was, if you want to fully enjoy your life, you would be wise to treat your body like it’s sacred.

And as we’ve discussed, healthy food, regular movement, and sleep are the primary ways to care for your body.

But in truth, those things are easy when you are living in the state of love.

Self-care and attention to your health and vitality are almost automatic then.

That’s why I keep coming back to love…it really can resolve many of the conflicts that spring up for us around our bodies.

When we remember who we are, we love ourselves, and quite naturally then, we treat ourselves with love.

If you find yourself struggling and struggling to be healthy, I believe no amount of tactics on exercise and diet will permanently help you.

What will help is shedding self-loathing and replacing it with a deep love and respect for yourself.

What will help is falling in love with yourself and becoming awake to what your body and soul are trying to tell you…

…That you are special, and your body is important.

…That your body, mind, and spirit are your highest priorities for living a joyful life and being of service to others.

Sometimes, extreme fitness is a cover up for lack of self-esteem.

Many of us work and work to ‘look good’ because we’re not really in love with who we are.

But most often it’s the other way, we don’t love ourselves, so we don’t treat ourselves lovingly, and we stop moving entirely.

Interestingly, making your super small daily movement commitment and KEEPING IT, will increase your self-love and self-respect.

It goes both ways…so approach it from both angles!

Take action today and MOVE your body.

And take action and express forgiveness and love to yourself.

Both will help with the other, and both will bring you JOY.
